← Back to Vitality Therapy and Performance
Vitality Therapy and Performance started because too many active adults were being told to rest, take a pill, or accept "that's just getting older." We built the clinic we wished existed.
Runners told to just stop running. Lifters handed the same exercise sheet as a sedentary patient decades older. CrossFitters split between two other people on the table, never getting a full hour of anyone's attention. Chris Smith and Cord DeMoss had treated hundreds of athletes and active adults before opening Vitality, and they kept running into the same broken model: rushed visits, generic programming, and a system built around volume instead of results.
So they built something different. A clinic where every session is one-on-one, every plan starts with finding the actual root cause instead of chasing symptoms, and the goal isn't just getting you back to baseline, it's getting you back stronger than you were before the injury.
The chief complaint is the starting point, not the stopping point. We treat the runner, not the knee; the mom, not the pelvic floor. We dig for the actual driver.
We protect our own and our teammates' health, energy, and recovery. We don't glorify burnout or tolerate team-draining behavior.
Every appointment, note, front-desk call, and follow-up is an audition for the next one. No coasting on past wins or assumed loyalty.
About what a patient needs, what we can and can't help with, and what's working. No softening, spinning, or selling around the truth.
We're students of the craft: studying, practicing, seeking feedback, course-correcting, and sharing what we learn.
We reach people in Tulsa who don't know Vitality exists, can't afford it yet, or don't think this kind of care is for them.
What started as a small team treating a handful of Tulsa athletes has grown into a full clinic, but the model hasn't changed. Every provider we bring on is trained the same way: one-on-one time, real evaluation, and programming built around getting you back to the sport or activity you love.
If you want to know who's actually in the building, meet the team, or read what patients who've been through it have to say on our Patient Stories page.
Tell us what's going on and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
